OOTD; A day with my nephew and my boyfriend!

Outfit of the Day:

So today Paul and I were both off (yay). We decided to get my nephew and take him a walk for a couple of hours to give my sister a break for a while. We then came home and watched 'The Vow' which was amazing, I suggest if you like movies such as 'The Notebook' that you watch this. It was a really nice day and the sun was shining for the first time in what seems like forever. I just thought I'd share with you what I wore today.

Shirt - Primark
Disco Pants - New Look
Converse - Office
(I also wore a coat as although the sun was shining it was still quite cold)

I hope you all enjoyed your Monday as much as I did. :)

What's in my bag? ;

So I know everyone and their grandma has done these posts but I decided to jump on the band wagon anyway.

This is my bag...

It says "women of the world' on the front and displays stereotypical women from all different areas of the world. It's a medium sized bag but fits quite a lot in it to be fair. It also comes with a long strap if you want to wear it over your shoulder but I usually wear it in the crook of my arm.

Here's what I had in my bag today...

  • Hair bobble
  • Dove deodorant
  • Body Shop Bronzer
  • Mac Make up Brush
  • Rimmel Apocolips Lip laquer
  • Benefit "feelin' dandy" kit
  • I phone
  • Vera Wang - Princess perfume
  • Diary
  • Purse
  • Pen
I'd be interested to know if anyone else has this bag because I haven't seen anyone else with it?

What's in your bag? Do you have any tips of things I should carry around?

Summary of my Sunday;

So today has been one of those days where you don't do very much and it's just wonderful. I spent a little time with my nephew this afternoon but apart from that my day was taken up by newly found interest - cross stitching and baking. I made ordinary cupcakes but decorated them with butter icing,  popping candy and butterflies. I am also in the process of stitching something to put on a valentines card for my boyfriend... but shhh!

Hope you're all having a good Sunday!

Let me know if any of you have had similar days or what your Sunday plans are ?

Review : Rimmel Apocalips;

Rimmel Apocalips;

So today I nipped into Boots to pick up a few things and get some points on my advantage card, as you do, and I decided to have a quick look at the make-up. Whilst browsing at the Rimmel stand I spotted the 'Apocalips lip lacquer' and remembered I had seen quite a few different reviews on these (all good), so I decided to pick it up in the colour "Stellar" which is a bright pink colour. As soon as I got home I decided to try it out and let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed! It's amazing and so pigmented.

I'm so impressed with this, it's just beautiful on and lasts ages! It goes on like a lipgloss but has a sort of matte look and is really pigmented like a lipstick or tint. The packaging is really nice too. The only downside I would say is that it's not that big so I'm not sure how long the product will last. It's only £5.99 in Boots though, which is brilliant.

I'm definitely going to pick up more of these next time in Boots (perhaps them all, lol). Have you tried this ? Let me know :)

Quick Every Day Make Up;

This is a quick make up look that I use most of the time if I don't have a lot of time to get ready. For example if I'm going to college or nipping out somewhere. It's pretty simple and takes about 5-10 minutes. The pictures aren't great but it gives you an idea :-) I usually straighten my hair using ghd's, if I'm going out I would add my hair extensions as I was cursed with really thin hair (thanks mum). But for this quick look my hair is my own.

What I used -

Foundation - Body Shop Moisture Foundation - 03
Concealer - Body Shop Lightening Touch - 03
Bronzer - Body Shop Baked Bronzer - 02
Eyeshadow - MAC (don't know the shade sorry, browny colour though)
Eyeliner - Maybelline Gel Eyeliner
Blusher - MAC - sheer shimmer blusher - Springsheen
Mascara - Benefit - They're Real
Brows - Body Shop Brow Kit
Lips - Body Shop Lipstick (not sure which kind) - Shade 58

Let me know what you think and if you have any ideas for quick make up! :)

Yesterday's LOTD;

If you read my previous blog you will know that yesterday I went to the Britain's Got Talent auditions in Glasgow. The dress code was casual and this is just a quick example of what I wore/ how I done my hair and make up. I was in a little bit of a rush when I left and didn't have a lot of time to take photos so not everything I wore is shown here but I'll add it in anyway.

Outfit:
Peplum top - River Island
Leggings - New Look
Necklace (first picture) - New Look
I also wore my black Chelsea boots from Newlook, my coat from Debenhams and a purple skull scarf from Primark.

Make Up:

Face -
Benefit Porefessional Primer
Foundation: YSL Le Teint Touché Éclat in shade B10
Concealer - The Body Shop Lightening Touch in shade 03
Bronzer (all over) - The Body Shop Baked Bronzer in shade 02
Bronzer (contour) - Benefit 'One Hot Minute'
Highlighter - Benefit 'High Beam'
Blush - Mac Sheer Tone Shimmer Blush in 'springsheen'

Eyes -
Green eyeshadows from Mac Palette
Maybelline Gel Liner
Benefit 'they're real' mascara
The Body Shop Brow Kit in shade 02

I also added a bright pink lipstick from The Body Shop which you can see in the second photograph.

Hair -
Curled using Remington curling wand.

This is a look which is perfect for any casual events where you still want to look great and a little better than just your usual day look.

Let me know what you think!

Britain's Got Talent auditions!

So yesterday my boyfriend and I were lucky enough to have tickets to the Britain's Got Talent auditions in Glasgow. After an hour and a half drive up the road I realised I had forgotten the tickets (nightmare). Luckily the staff were kind enough to accept the email I had on my phone and after a couple of hours waiting outside in the rain and wind (oh lovely Scottish weather), we finally got in. Much to our surprise we also had amazing seats, only two rows behind the judges and in view of all of the cameras. It really was an amazing day and there was some brilliant talent, which I'm sure you will get to see when it's on TV.

I had never been to anything like this before and didn't even know that you could. So if anyone would like the chance to see their favourite TV programmes I got the tickets from a website called Applause Store and they were free!!
